It is geared for easy entry to a novice shooter with NSO (New Shooter Orientations) provided to facilitate easy and safe participation for all levels of shooters. We cater for Multi-Gun shoots (Handgun / Shotgun / Semi-Auto Rifles) and are an officially SAPS / CFR recognized dedicated sport shooting body. The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is the governing body of a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters. It was founded in 1996 as a response to the desires of shooters worldwide. The organization now boasts membership of more than 17,000, including members in 50 foreign countries. One of the unique facets of this sport is that it is geared toward the new or average shooter, yet is fun, challenging and rewarding for the experienced shooter. The founders developed the sport so that practical gear and practical guns may be used competitively. An interested person can spend a minimal amount on equipment and still be competitive. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, not equipment or gamesmanship. The Sport:This section is intended to provide summary information about the sport od IDPA Shooting.1.

SAFETY FIRST - The 4 Laws of Gun Safety. 1st Law - The Gun Is Always Loaded!. 2nd Law - Never Point A Gun At Something You're Not Prepared To Destroy!. 3rd Law - Always Be Sure Of Your Target And What Is Behind It!. 4th Law - Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Your Sights Are On The Target!2. SHOOTINGWe engage in different shooting scenarios designed to test combinations of shooting skill, tactics, speed, accuracy and stress. We strive to practice realistic skills and scenarios that can emulate real situations allowing the shooter develop and maintain real defensive shooting skills.Typically the exercises can be one of the following: Standard Exercises: - Tests the shooters firearm handling and shooting skills. Speed Shoots: - Fast stages with emphasis on speed and accuracy.

Scenarios: - Stages that emulate real world situations often involving movement, reloading of firearms and use of cover.3. TARGETSWe engage targets that broadly represent a human torso and more often then not are covered with a T-Shirt.We also engage reactive steel plates and pepper poppers.A time penalty is given for inaccurate or missed shots.4. GUNS & RELATED EQUIPMENTThe Firearms and gear we use are all intended to be usable on a day to day basis (Carry). Even though we are a sport the underlying premise is to practice with equipment that is available to the average man.All firearms have to comply with IDPA rules. A minimum of 3 magazines for the firearm you are shooting is recommended.Your belt is extremely important since it is the foundation of your shooting platform.A wide, thick leather belt is recommended. See IDPA RULE BOOK.Several of our sponsors would happily assist you with most equipment required for your sport.

IDPA has a very quick and easy method of classifying shooters. Only currently affiliated clubs may award classifications and only current IDPA members may shoot the classifier or be awarded a classification by a club. CLASSIFICATION SCORES BY DIVISION. Classifier matches are held by each affiliated club.

SAFETY EQUIPMENTShooting glasses are required to protect your eyesight against flying lead splinters that very rarely ricochet off steel plates as well as potential metal and powder debris that may occur should you have a round blow up due to double charge OR gun failure.Ear Protection is required and is recommended you purchase the best equipment you can afford.6. CLOTHINGStrong pants with numerous belt loops are recommended.Your shirt should be long enough to be tucked in properly and we recommend that a smooth shirt is preferable. Certain shirt material gathers and sticks to equipment and hands hampering your draw.A conceal garment has to be used that covers the firearms, holster, magazines and magazine pouches with arms extended.7. SHOOTING BAGYour shooting bag is crucial to enjoy a pleasurable day on the range. The new shooter may find that the large BIG JIM plastic tool box is initially the best purchase till you decide what you require. It can also double up as a range chair.

In Belize, 'boil up' is a traditional stew made out of such ingredients as pigs tails, bananas, eggs, plantains, yams, and whole fish. As the liner notes point out, it's an apt metaphor for the music contained in this delightfully quirky compilation - though the musical recipe adds up to something that many will probably find much more enticing than a stew made out of bananas and fish.

We've had much urging to add a Match Management component to our program. Shooters that haveused other software have given us a list of things they would like to see done and we're on the case. Stay tuned!Feb 3, 2014Tablets for Score Entry?to read 'Why Smart Phones are Better than Tablets for Score Entry'Jan 26, 2014Sanctioned Match UpdatesNow that we have the general scoring and mobile entry and mobile preliminary reports working well we added abilities to add subcategories (like Lady, Industry, etc.) tothe shooter profiles. This will make it easy for shooters to monitor their progress during the match in their subcategories and a quick way forMatch Directors to determine the 'High' scores for each subcategory. We also had some great suggestions on some other calculations some shooters would like that we will be incorporating in a few weeks that makethe shooting scores more like golf scores.

Keep those suggestions coming!Jan 22, 2014Real-Time Entry Module Update! We had a fantastic time shooting on Saturday and testing the real-time score entry. Some of the comments encouraged us to make some additional changes tothe interface to make it easier to read and update even quicker. Check out for the latest. We had an iPad at the range signup table. Everyone entered their information into UberScoreMaster and then the new 'Pick List/Squad Assignment' feature made it easy to set everyone up into squads and thereby making the score entry a snap.Everyone was emailed and texted right after the results where verified. We would like to thank those of you that have continued to providefeedback on our new software. We hope it saves you time and improves the accuracy of the scoring process. Jan 14, 2014Real-Time Entry Module Complete! Our Real-Time Mobile Score Entry is complete and we are going into beta testing this weekend!.Jan 6, 2014Product Launch! We had a great product launch yesterday at Collin County IDPA near Dallas, Texas.

Club president Cody Ray, is supportive of our efforts.Club treasurer Dr. Allen Honeyman also gave us kudos and contributed his brain power on the score charting as well as product testing. A special thanks goesout to Webmaster James Morgan for his help in making sure the official results were in the exact format needed.

The programmakes sure the MD doesn't forget to email the webmaster first and the program makes sure the results are exactly the way they need to be. This cutsdown on time spent exchanging emails and republishing results. All club members were able to download the results and those that wanted text alerts of their results received them. Email alerts also went outwithout a hitch. One Mac user had trouble opening the Excel spreadsheet but after a slight tweak was able to get it downloaded OK.The most gratifying part of the data entry process was the quality control score validation. It quickly caught ALL the data entry errors!Additional charting suggestions came in from Expert shooter Chris Jones, MBA.

We have some exciting new charts on the horizon now to help youanalyze your scores. Stay tuned! Please help us continue to enhance this great tool for our sport by contributing suggestions!Sincerely,Tim Hauser.
